Enter Auggie’s Art Contest

Join us for the Hounds of Highfield 2026 Art Contest! Highfield Hall & Gardens art contest encourages young artists to celebrate their love of dogs by submitting unique artwork of Auggie Becker, Highfield’s 2025-2026 Dog of the Year. The local Cape Cod contest is for Youths ages 5-18. The 2026 contest opens on Thursday, March 19, 2026 and closes on Monday, June 15, 2026.

A little about Auggie:

Meet Auggie, our 1st ever Highfield Hall Hound of the Year. Auggie, an Australian Labradoodle, is known for his fluffy coat and infectious smile. Auggie is a busy dog, always on the go visiting schools and hospitals with the Companion Animal Program (CAP) to bring comfort, joy, and connection to students, patients, and really anyone who is lucky enough to cross paths with him.

Art contest rules are as follows:

  • Artists must be between the ages of 5 and 18 at the time of submission
  • Art must be of Highfield Hall & Gardens: Dog of the Year, Auggie Becker
  • Medium: Drawing, painting, or mixed media
  • The Art must be original and not have been entered into any previous or other current art contests
  • Age Categories: 5-8, 9-12, 13-15, 16-18

Entries must be completed and submitted to Highfield Hall & Gardens no later than Monday, June 15, 2026 by 4PM EST. Original artwork must arrive in a waterproof container or bag with the following information labeled on the package:

Title of the Work:

  • Judges Criteria: creativity 40%, fit to the theme 30%, quality of art 30%
  • Artwork must be completed on a flat 8.5” x 11” piece of paper
  • Art can be created from Auggie photo gallery located on the Highfield website and/or open studios with Auggie as the model
  • First place winners will receive a $50 gift Card
  • Finalist and first place winners will receive a Highfield Hall & Gardens Membership

Entries may be picked up from Highfield Hall & Gardens after the Hounds of Highfield event on Monday, June 29 at 9AM.
