Please join us at Highfield Hall & Gardens to get ready for St. Patrick’s Day with Golden Lane and members of the Kanaley School of Irish Dance. This group of musicians from the Southeastern New England area specializes in performing the lively dance music of Ireland (jigs, reels, etc.) in a traditional style. They also perform songs in English and Gaelic. The band is made up of John MacDonald on guitar and banjo; Pat Black, on the bodhrán (Irish drum) in addition to the whistle and vocals; Bill Black, on the guitar, banjo, bouzouki and vocals; Colin Everett, on the uilleann pipes and whistle; and Mark Oien, on the fiddle.
The group’s performances are always “family-friendly” and interaction with the audience for questions about the music or the instruments, kids dancing, clapping and foot-tapping, are always welcome. The show will run for 90 minutes with no intermission.
Masks will be required.
