This event will honor the historic trees at Highfield Hall & Gardens with a day of tree work donated by local tree companies including Davey Tree, Upper Cape Tree Service, Dale Tree Movers & Tree Farm, Greene’s Tree & Garden, and Stumps Away. Professional arborists will be trimming trees, grinding stumps, and planting a large tree with a tree spade as part of the next generation of trees at Highfield Hall & Gardens.

To educate about the importance of caring for trees, visitors can watch from safe viewing areas as the tree professionals trim and prune the trees. Terry Soares, Landscape Director at Highfield Hall & Gardens, will be available to answer questions about the history and care of Highfield Hall & Gardens’ trees.

Visitors will receive a free Kousa Dogwood (Japanese Dogwood) tree seedling, while supplies last, so they can plant a new tree at their home. Kousa Dogwood trees have a beautiful white bloom and grow throughout the Highfield property.

The event is free and open to the public. No registration required.
