Join Woods Hole photographer Mark Chester as he shows his work and discusses his new anthology: Roadshow Anthropology with a foreword by Pico Iyer. This latest collection of his work is an engaging look at America from the driver’s seat, offering fresh perspectives on US iconic Highways, back roads, and small-town main streets. Americas unique spirit of innovation is on full display with humor and pathos.

Chester pays homage to a range of influences including the work of photojournalist Lee Freidlander. This book would make an excellent holiday gift! A photographer since 1972, his photographs are in the permanent collections of numbers museums including that of American University, the Corcoran Legacy Collection in DC, Denver, Portland in Maine and others.

His photographs also accompany his travel articles published in the L.A. Times, Boston Globe, San Francisco Chronicle, Washington Post, and others. He has published several other books of his work including TWOSOMES, NO IN AMERICA, and DATELINE AMERICA with essays by Charles Kuralt.
