PICTURE THIS. La Romana, DR. You’re cruising down the Caribbean coast with the top turned down and the radio turned up. The DJ spins hot merengue music into the speakers. Your friends toss around plans for cigars, rum, chocolate and one local delicacy after another. There’s nothing but beaches and sugar cane fields in your rear-view mirror – plus a sea of green, green as in golf courses. There’s your destination: Costa Mar in the Casa de Campo resort. This luxurious, oceanfront home sits on the 17th fairway of Pete Dye’s Teeth of the Dog golf course, rated among the best in the world. Other top courses are a cart-ride away. Four private master suites* make everyone’s day. And, the complete services of a cook, butler and maid make this a very heavenly, seven-night stay. The resort is your playground. Play tennis. Play polo. Swim, sail, skeet-shoot and shop. And, when you need time-out from play, the spa’s another indulgent place to enjoy life the Dominican Republic way.
*There is also a bunk room for six additional guests

casa-de-campo (Mobile)THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD TO MACHRIHANISH DUNES
The Long and Winding Road (A83) leads to Paul McCartney’s Scottish farmhouse.  The beautiful byway also leads to one of Scotland’s most secluded outposts and best-kept secrets: Machrihanish Dunes on the Kintyre peninsula. Your party of four will spend five very indulgent nights in a luxurious stone cottage at this seaside resort. You’ll have every amenity imaginable at your fingertips. Five restaurants and pubs, a fitness center, the Serenity Spa and the most natural golf course in the world are just a few steps away. In Scotland, true links golf courses are not created, they are born of the land. The routing, as well as the positioning of tees and greens, follow nature’s plan, so the Machrihanish Dunes golf course is ever-changing, ever-challenging and ever-so naturally beautiful. Unlimited golfing meets unlimited adventures here. Discover ancient castles, gravestones and forts and the magnificent paintings inside the Davaar Island Caves. This rugged and romantic corner of the world has so much to offer, everything from whiskey, walking and wildlife tours to fishing, swimming and the best surfing in the entire Kingdom.  So dust off your passport and get ready to bid. Life on the moors is plentiful, but be forewarned. Every stay leaves you wanting so much more. (Meals are not included.)
