Please Join Highfield Hall & Gardens for our 5th Annual Fundraiser, Highfield Celebrates!
In place of our annual fundraising Gala, this summer we will present a series of virtual dinner parties for you to enjoy from the comfort of your own home!
Our 1st dinner party of the series features author Juliet Grames discussing her debut novel The Seven or Eight Deaths of Stella Fortuna.
From Calabria to Connecticut: a sweeping family saga about sisterhood, secrets, Italian immigration, the American dream, and one woman’s tenacious fight against her own fate. Juliet Grames was born in Hartford, Connecticut, and grew up in a tight-knit Italian-American family. A book editor, she has spent the last decade at Soho Press, where she is associate publisher and curator of the Soho Crime imprint.
Dinner provided by Water Street Kitchen, Woods Hole
“The Seven or Eight Deaths of Stella Fortuna achieves what no sweeping history lesson about American immigrants could: It brings to life a woman that time and history would have ignored.” —Washington Post
Ticket: $125.00 per person | Ticket without meal: $60 per person
Deadline to register is July 7th!
