Spring break program for children 5-10 years old.
Celebrate Earth Day at Highfield by learning about pollinators such as bees and butterflies and reading “What if there were no Bees?” Explore what pollination is and how important pollinators are to our food sources. Kids will make a bee hotel or butterfly feeder and take home a flower to plant. To cap off the program, the group will plant a shrub in the Highfield gardens to add to the living, growing, landscape. Kelly Batista is an elementary school teacher.
