Build your screenwriting skills this summer!
4 Tuesdays in August – 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th
All movies begin with a script, and this workshop gives you the opportunity to learn the essentials of script formatting and visual storytelling and to develop your ideas from pitch to script, just as professional screenwriters and filmmakers do. This drop-off camp is for young writers and filmmakers ages 13-17. Over a four week term in August, all participants will write two short screenplays, one original 2 – 3 page script without dialogue, and another 5 – 10 page script, with dialogue.
We are excited to welcome guest instructor Christopher Santos, screenwriter and novelist, to Highfield! He is the former Vice-President of Script Development for Punch 21 Productions. As a writer and consultant, he has worked on numerous television shows, including The United States of Tara. He teaches at Emerson College and Boston University.
