The Dome at Highfield Hall presents a weekly series: ‘Thinking Out Loud’, which includes discussions, performances, open mics and gatherings of great minds.
This week features architect Robert Mohr, founder of the Open Studio, and an instructor in the Dept. of Architecture at MIT and RISD. Mohr will reach back into the history of geodesic domes, from the former Dome restaurant in Woods Hole through current tensegrity structures. With reference to the exhibit on view all summer in the Education Center at Highfield Hall, Mohr will elaborate on the ingenuous nature of these structures and their importance in the history of architecture.
