Boston-based jazz pianist and Berklee College of Music faculty member Yoko Miwa will perform at Highfield Hall on Sunday, February 10th at 4:00pm.

A native of Kobe, Japan and a classically trained pianist, Yoko Miwa is amongst the hottest young jazz pianists on the East Coast. One of her seven recordings, Live at Scullers, was chosen among the best CDs of 2011 by JazzTimes Magazine and that same year she played on the Marian McPartland & Friends at Lincoln Center. Now a faculty member at the Berklee College of Music, she recently received a sparkling review in The New York Music Daily: “Miwa had just as much fun sending the rhythm section away and swinging by herself as she did engaging in a tightly spiraling, interlocking web of melody.”
