Please join Yves Vandeplas for gentle Hatha yoga in the beautiful Highfield gardens. This 1 hour morning hatha yoga class is a ritual to start the day. Hatha yoga is a gentle and slow-paced practice that emphasizes breath control and mindfulness. Usually the class will start with the sun salutation sequence, a flowing series of postures that warms up the body, increases circulation, and focuses the mind. The sequence is then followed by a combination of standing and seated asanas (postures) that develop mobility, strength, and alignment. This practice will help you to energize your whole being and relax your mind. On a deeper level, it guides you to develop your awareness of your body, breath, and energy. Open to all levels.
Originally from Geneva, Yves Vandeplas has been teaching Hatha Yoga since 2015. Trained mainly in India, he combines experiences in Hatha Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Yin Yoga. Yves is also a Reiki master. He is motivated by the joy of sharing the keys to his own transformation and liberation, always in progress.
