Garden Tip 166:

We are all familiar with the various types of gardens– the perennial garden, the annual garden, the vegetable garden, the mixed border garden, and on and on. I always have a garden on my back porch that I call the “container garden.”

My container garden usually consists of five to nine large pots of various sizes planted with an assortment of annuals, perennials, tropicals and dwarf shrubs. It is the easiest garden on my property to maintain. Watering, weeding, fertilizing and pruning all contained in a very limited amount of space. It is the one garden that is almost always under control. It is peaceful, quiet and most importantly, complete.
