Magnolia flowers, forsythia, tulips, daffodils and more are sure signs of spring. There is also a seasonal phenomenon that occurs every year at this time, and that is the appearance of driveway plants!

We have all seen them. A group of potted plants here, buckets of rooted material there, and even the occasional clump of earth with a plant awaiting its new home.  The causes of this condition are many.

Some plants are making the transition from inside the home to the great outdoors. Others appear because of too many trips to local garden centers and nurseries, and many can be gifted plants from friends, relatives and fellow gardeners.

If left unchecked, this condition can persist well into the summer season. Driveway plants, the sign of a committed and happy gardener!
