Senioritis 2019

May 1 – May 17

Senioritis showcases the work of 40 Falmouth High School art students. These graduating seniors present engaging, inspiring, and thought-provoking work in a wide range of media — drawings, paintings, pastels, prints, ceramics, and graphic arts.

Presenting artists are students of FHS art teachers Corine Adams, Jane Baker and Larisa Hart. “The show is important because it gives the students a chance to exhibit their artwork outside of the classroom and share it with the community,” according to Baker.

Student artists include Emily Adams, Sophia Adelstein, Caroline Bagg, Bridget Beaudoin, Garret Bentley, Hannah Bissett, Mack Caswell, Nina Colon, Cheyenne Conley, Abigail Corner, Caroline Crocker, Delaney Crowell, Caroline Delinks, Trevor Dimond, Brenna Donahue, Angelina Dvorak, Julia Furnari, Shannon Groves, Ben Hebner, Shawn Jablecki, Victoria Johnson, Phoebe Kasparian, Colleen Kerr, Erin Lavin, Alexandra Martins, Madison Meal, Camill Medina, Caitlin Morse, Jacob Murphy, Quinn O’Rourke, Mahima Patel, Abigail Pope, Daniella Pyne, Ruby Sanger, Danielle Shea, Kathleen Shimansky, Jaylynn Stone, Hannah Tobey, Ness Uitti, and McKenzie Velardo.

Reflecting on her experience, a past student participant said that exhibiting at Highfield added an air of elegance to their amateur show.

The Senioritis exhibition was conceived in 2007 by the FHS advanced placement art class as a way to feature student art in a beautiful setting. With the high school under renovation and the student gallery in a work zone, Highfield and FHS collaborated to establish this artistic tradition. This exhibit is open to all seniors who have taken an art class at FHS and want to feature their work in the class art show.
